Three Leaf Financial is a full service financial planning firm that was established in March 2010 with the fundamental goal of building sound financial plans for all of their clients. The practice works one-on-one with clients to create, implement and manage tailored financial plans. Each plan is unique with the right blend of investments, insurance and planning in order to accomplish each client's goals. The practice continues to flourish because at it's core, it is built on a life-long relationship model and the ability to make complex ideas easy to understand. Derek attended East Stroudsburg University, and after a successful career in the hospitality industry developing hotels nationwide he started his own Financial Advisory Practice. He brings his love of numbers, planning expertise and overall passion to help people, into his everyday interaction with his clients.
Since starting the practice in 2010, Derek has made it his mission to help arm and educate his clients' with the knowledge they need in order to make sound financial decisions for themselves and their loved ones.
As a licensed Fiduciary, Derek works in his clients' best interest on investment design and management in addition to being licensed as an Independent Insurance Agent.
Kelly joined the practice in 2020 with a rich background in education, where she worked for the last 19 years at the University of Virginia’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies located in Falls Church, VA as a Program Administrator in the education and business programs.
Kelly graduated from Strayer University in 2009 earning her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management.
In Kelly's spare time she enjoys being with family and friends. Kelly also enjoys being outdoors (camping, hiking, kayaking, wineries, concerts etc.) Kelly also enjoys volunteering within her community with The Sweet Julia Grace Foundation helping raise funds for families of children with serious illnesses, at her church, and with the local homeless shelter SERVE.
